Work Experience

World Bank Group 

Data Specialist Consultant 

  • Tanzania Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program processed and analyzed spatial data on LGA level WSS coverage nationwide to inform decision-making on Additional Financing allocation of 300 million USD. Managing a TA on building a Data Monitoring and Visualization (DMV) system for the P4R and beyond.
  • Lusaka Sanitation Project (LSP) analytical support to project operations team on behavioral interventions to improve project sustainability
  • Sri Lanka Small Tank Cascade Sediment Management spatial targeting study to identify small tanks in need of rehabilitation due to agricultural and population demand in drought prone areas
  • Karnataka Sustainable Rural Water Supply Program data analysis to inform project design as part of the project preparation team
  • Coordination of project on Agent Based Modelling for predicting the spread of COVID-19 to inform the Government of Zimbabwe’s plans for managing the pandemic response.
  • Geospatial Cholera Risk Mapping in conjunction with on-going engagements in Lusaka, Zambia and Harare, Zimbabwe to identify and quantify the underlying risk factors behind the cholera outbreaks in different parts of the city, and target suitable interventions for operations.
  • Behavioral Interventions (BI) & Nimble Evaluations Coordination of delivery of a survey paper on Behavioral Interventions in Infrastructure; Guidance Note on behavioral insights for urban sanitation; report on Nimble Evaluations for WSS and briefs on BI in water & sanitation.
  • Wash Poverty Diagnostics in Bangladesh, Tanzania, Ecuador and Panama. Included extensive mapping & analytical work using the census and household surveys to inform the extent of the countries’ progress towards SDG targets for WASH; coordination to feedback technical/econometric findings to policy audiences; report writing; missions to present, validate and disseminate reports.
  • SIASAR data analysis: Conduct data analysis across four countries in LAC to inform World Bank operations to improve the sustainability of rural water systems. Included descriptive statistics and Principal Component Analysis.
  • PROSASR Nicaragua: Coordination of the fieldwork of the Impact Evaluation for the Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project, Nicaragua. Included data analysis and indicator calculation for the sample; survey development of 5 instruments with the PI; coordination of logistics with survey firm and government partners; regular reporting back to team and funders.

  • Rapid Damage and Loss Assessment (DALA), Sierra Leone – Through outreach and dialogue with relief agencies on the ground, this work involved conducting a rapid costing assessment of the damages and losses to the Water and Sanitation sector as well as the short, medium and long term needs for a resilient recovery following August 14th 2017 mudslides
  • Urban Resilience Project, Sierra Leone – Assisted mission team in organizing the launch of two key reports – the Urban Sector Review and Multi-Hazard Risk Assessment; provide technical inputs and support to Mission stakeholder meetings and Aide Memoire drafting.

Provided research and behaviorally informed policy advice to the UK government for the coronavirus response. Otherwise developed trial protocols, policy advice and BI informed evaluations in digital innovation for rural e-commerce, education and peace building in Bangladesh, Bosnia and Nigeria.

Scoping mission to identify a portfolio of four impact evaluation concept designs aimed at addressing the negative impacts of illegal and informal mining in the region Madre de Dios, Peru.
