ZAMBIA SECURES $70M IN AID

Japan is providing $70 million in aid to Zambia and is keen to continue supporting the African country’s development in the coming years.
This was announced in Lusaka, Zambia, by visiting Japanese vice-minister for foreign affairs Toshiyuki Kato, the Times of Zambia reports.
The government-owned newspaper said Kato named agriculture and infrastructure as Japan’s priority sectors in Zambia. Kato also announced Japanese companies are showing interest in Zambia and promised to help boost public-private partnerships in the country, the Times of Zambia adds
